Job Summary

The Receptionist / Front Office Executive is the first point of contact for patients and visitors. The role involves managing front desk operations, patient coordination, appointment scheduling, billing support, and ensuring a smooth and courteous patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Patient Handling

Greet patients and visitors politely and professionally.

Guide patients regarding departments, doctors, and services.

Manage patient registration and OPD entries.

Handle walk-in patients and appointment bookings.

Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and departments.

Communication & Coordination

Attend incoming calls and respond to inquiries.

Maintain appointment schedules and inform patients of delays.

Communicate effectively with medical and non-medical staff.

Handle patient feedback and escalate complaints when required.

Documentation & Records

Maintain patient records and files.

Update hospital management system (HIS) entries.

Issue OPD cards, tokens, and visitor passes.

Maintain daily patient registers and reports.

Billing & Cash Handling (if applicable)

Collect consultation fees and issue receipts.

Coordinate with billing department for investigations and admissions.

Maintain cash records and hand over to accounts daily.

Administrative Duties

Maintain front office cleanliness and organization.

Monitor waiting area discipline.

Support administrative and HR-related tasks when required.

Follow hospital policies, confidentiality, and patient privacy norms.

Qualifications

Any Graduate / Diploma (preferred).

Basic computer knowledge (MS Office / Hospital Software).

Experience

Freshers or 1–3 years of experience in hospital / clinic front office preferred.
