Built for people who needed work, not another paywall
ApnaJob.in launched in November 2016 as a completely free job portal for job seekers and employers. The idea was simple: individuals struggling to find work, and small businesses without the budget for expensive recruitment platforms, both deserved a straightforward, no-cost way to find each other.
That's still the whole model. No subscription to apply, no paywall to post — just a fast, self-service platform covering everything from remote roles to government vacancies, built to be used without needing anyone's help to figure it out.
Beyond listings, employers get access to broader hiring support — including executive search, temporary staffing, and project-based hiring — so the platform scales from a single small-business opening to a full recruitment need.

HOW IT REALLY STARTED
Two people, one kitchen-table idea
Before ApnaJob.in was a platform, it was a conversation between a husband and wife — Anamika, who comes from marketing and communications, and Amit, who comes from IT. Two very different worlds, one shared frustration: why should finding work, of all things, come with a price tag?
They'd both seen it up close — capable people held back not by a lack of skill, but by an application fee they couldn't spare, or a listing a small business couldn't afford to post. Having stood on that side of the table themselves, they understood exactly what a job search is worth to the person living through it.
So they built the thing they wished had existed: one place, open to the whole world, where posting a job costs nothing and looking for one asks nothing in return. Not a company chasing a market — just two people trying to make sure that understanding never came with a price tag for anyone else.
