What we collect depends on whether you're a candidate or an employer, and what you choose to do on the site.

We also automatically collect basic technical data (IP address, browser type) when you visit, plus cookie data — see Cookies. If you comment on the site, we collect your name, email, and website URL along with your IP address to help detect spam.

• Match candidates with relevant jobs, and employers with suitable candidates
• Let you apply, message the other side, and track application status
• Send job alerts you've opted into
• Detect spam and abuse, and keep the platform secure
• Respond when you contact support

We don't use your data to serve you ads on other platforms or to build advertising profiles about you.

We don't sell candidate or employer data to third parties. We share it only in these situations:

• With an employer you apply to — your profile and resume become visible to that specific employer once you apply, not before.
• With a candidate you message or shortlist, if you're an employer.
• With service providers who help run the site (hosting, spam-detection tools like Gravatar for comment avatars), bound to use data only for that purpose.
• When required by law, such as a valid legal request from Indian authorities.

• Login cookies keep you signed in and remember your display preferences.
• If you comment and opt in, a cookie may save your name, email, and website for next time.
• Temporary cookies on the login page are discarded when you close your browser.
• Pages with embedded content from other sites may set their own cookies, as if you'd visited that site directly.

• Your profile is kept as long as your account is active.
• Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely, so replies stay in context.
• If you delete your account, your profile, resume, and messages are removed — except limited records we're required to keep for legal, administrative, or security purposes.

• Access: request an exported copy of the personal data we hold on you.
• Deletion: request your account and data be deleted, or use Delete Profile directly.
• Correction: update your details anytime from My Profile.

Some data may be retained after a deletion request where we have a legal, administrative, or security obligation to keep it.

We use reasonable technical measures — including a website firewall and spam/threat monitoring — to protect accounts and data against unauthorized access. No online platform can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong, unique password for your account.

ApnaJob.in is intended for job seekers and employers who meet the legal working age in India. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone below that age.
