### **Job Summary:**
EMPI Business School is seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrician to join our facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping the generator, lighting, and electrical systems in top working condition. You will diagnose electrical problems and carry out repairs or replacements as needed. Quick problem-solving, accurate reporting, and the ability to assess the situation to determine if normal operations can continue will be key in this position.

### **Key Responsibilities:**

– **Electrical System Maintenance:** Perform regular maintenance and inspections on electrical systems including wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, contractors, relays, timers, and controls.

– **Repair & Troubleshooting:** Diagnose and repair or replace defective parts for generators, lighting, and other electrical systems. Act quickly and effectively when breakdowns occur.

– **Shutdown Management:** Communicate with management regarding the status of electrical issues. If necessary, estimate the time required for repairs and advise on whether regular operations can continue or if a shutdown is necessary.

– **Fixture Installation:** Install, replace, and maintain electrical fixtures, switches, receptacles, and wiring.

– **Tools and Equipment:** Operate a variety of standard power tools, trenchers, and other equipment used for electrical installations and repairs.

– **Record Keeping:** Maintain accurate records and logs of maintenance work and repairs.

– **Guidance & Supervision:** Provide guidance to less experienced personnel and assist with training as needed.

– **Additional Tasks:** Perform other related tasks as instructed by management.

### **Requirements:**

– Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair.
– Certification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
– Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.
– Familiarity with power tools and electrical equipment.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Good communication skills for reporting to management.
– Ability to provide direction to less experienced staff.
