A Photovoltaic (PV) Module Cell Engineer is a highly specialized technical professional who focuses on the “heart” of the solar industry: the individual solar cell and the module (the panel) itself.
Job Requirement Profile: PV Module/Cell Engineer
1. Education & Background
Essential Degree: Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering.
2. Core Technical Skills
Manufacturing Knowledge: Experience or strong academic knowledge of thin-film deposition, diffusion, metallization, screen printing, or lamination processes.
Equipment Mastery: Familiarity with cleanroom equipment, vacuum systems, or industrial automated assembly lines (common in TOPCon, PERC, or HJT cell production) practical work related to mechanical equipment, electrical engineering installation, commissioning and maintenance, precision manufacturing, etc.
Testing & Reliability: Knowledge of standard IEC testing protocols (e.g., IEC 61215/61730) for solar module qualification.
