Job Summary

The Senior Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining Ather electric scooters. The role involves handling complex technical issues, supporting junior technicians, ensuring quality repairs, and maintaining safety and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform servicing, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of Ather electric scooters.
* Diagnose electrical, electronic, mechanical, and EV-related issues.
* Use appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults.
* Carry out repairs and component replacements as per approved procedures.
* Handle complex technical complaints and troubleshooting.
* Inspect vehicles before and after service to ensure quality.
* Guide and support junior technicians in technical work.
* Ensure all repair work is completed within the required turnaround time.
* Follow prescribed technical procedures, service standards, and safety guidelines.
* Maintain proper use and care of workshop tools and equipment.
* Identify recurring technical issues and report them to the Service Manager/Floor Incharge.
* Ensure proper handling of EV batteries and high-voltage components according to safety procedures.
* Maintain cleanliness and discipline in the workshop.
* Update job cards and technical details accurately.
* Coordinate with Service Advisors regarding vehicle status and technical findings.
* Conduct final quality checks before vehicle delivery.
* Support the team in achieving workshop productivity and quality targets.

Skills & Qualifications

* ITI/Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related field preferred.
* 2–5 years of relevant automobile/EV technician experience.
* Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
* Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
* Knowledge of EV systems and safety procedures is preferred.
* Ability to use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
* Good understanding of technical service procedures.
* Ability to guide junior technicians.
* Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
* Ather/EV service experience will be an added advantage.
