Job Summary

The EV Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing and maintaining Ather electric scooters. The technician will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, identify technical issues, follow safety procedures and ensure vehicles are delivered to customers in proper working condition.

Key Responsibilities

– Inspect and diagnose electric scooter technical issues.
– Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance.
– Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs as required.
– Check and troubleshoot electrical components, wiring and connections.
– Diagnose issues related to battery, motor, controller and charging systems.
– Use appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
– Follow manufacturer-recommended service procedures.
– Perform replacement of defective parts and components.
– Conduct post-repair testing to ensure the vehicle is working properly.
– Maintain proper service records and job cards.
– Coordinate with the Service Advisor regarding vehicle status and technical issues.
– Inform the Service Advisor about additional repairs or parts requirements.
– Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of tools and equipment.
– Follow workshop safety standards and EV safety procedures.
– Ensure assigned jobs are completed within the expected turnaround time.
– Support the Service Team in maintaining customer satisfaction.
– Escalate complex technical issues to the Senior Technician/Floor Incharge.
– Candidate Requirements
– ITI / Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical, Electrical or related technical field preferred.
– Freshers with relevant technical qualification can apply.
– Experience in automobile/EV service will be an advantage.
– Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
– Willingness to learn EV technology and diagnostic procedures.
– Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
– Ability to work effectively as part of a service team.
– Safety-conscious and disciplined approach.
